About the Brand

Food today often feels rushed and disconnected from its origins. Toka is an invitation to slow down, savor, and reconnect with the land and traditions that have nourished people for centuries. In the untouched soils of Southern Albania, the Kalinjot olive variety has been cultivated for over 2,000 years. Ancient civilizations understood its power, using early-harvest oil for both nourishment and medicine. Today, modern science confirms what they knew intuitively: these olives are naturally rich in polyphenols, the plant compounds that support long-term vitality.

Purple Evil Eye: Syri
$19.99

Handmade Evil Eye

Nazar | Mal de ojo

The Evil Eye is used to protect its holder from bad energies by absorbing them.

Dating back as early as 5000 BC, this amulet proves that humans (regardless of their religion or origin) have turned towards talismans for spiritual guidance throughout ancient history. Its ubiquitous influence remains largely present in cultures across the globe, from Latin America to the Balkans. To this day, people still believe in the meaning so strongly that they place it on cribs, homes, cars, & sacred belongings.

Normally recognized in shades of blue, the creation of this one of a kind purple symbolizes rarity, inspiration, extravagance, & enlightenment.

Because purple is so strongly associated with royalty, people often perceive it as being a very regal color. The association with luxury stems from the fact that the purple dye used in ancient times was very rare & extremely expensive. On the coast of ancient Phoenicia, locals in a small city began producing purple dye by crushing the shells of a tiny sea snail. The result became known as Tyrian purple and became so well known amongst royalty that it was mentioned in Homer's "Iliad" and Virgil's "Aeneid."

ABOUT THE BRAND & FOUNDER:

Growing up in Montenegro, Bernadete Rudovic was immersed in the natural richness of the Mediterranean, where fresh fruits, herbs, and pure ingredients shaped everyday life. This early connection to nature informed her approach to skincare, one rooted in simplicity, consistency, and care. She later pursued a degree in biochemistry, where she began translating these foundations into formulation, developing products alongside board-certified dermatologists that unite traditional ingredients with modern, research-driven science.

LË KUR emerged from this intersection of heritage and precision, an intentional brand grounded in transparency and long-term skin health. Each formulation reflects a considered balance between natural origin and scientific rigor, designed to support the skin rather than overwhelm it.

The name itself carries this dual meaning. Derived from the Albanian word for skin, it also echoes “the cure” in English, reflecting a philosophy centered on restoration, nourishment, and enduring care.
